why, I believe tis my sister, Cindy!! it's only been 8+ years since I've seen her in St. Louis, but I'd recognize her anywhere. ;)
gatherings like this are a rare occasion for us, but I always walk away incredibly greatful that I have the family that I do...we LOVE LAUGHTER!! and not only was it family night but it was an impromptu girl's night as well. all us ladies took Cindy shopping at the craft store. (she bought...well, crafts. me? I bought silly straws and a stuffed toy crab to give to my honey the next time he's in a bad mood. I'll either get kicked out of the house or a belly laugh...)
and then it was back to J and J's crib for icecream and spoonfuls of chocolate fudge topping. because that? that is TOTALLY on my diet.
anyhoodle. it was a great night and here's to hoping we can make it happen a tad more often.
this funny man, who is my bestest friend in the whole world turns...OLD...today.
happy birthday, Boogher.
over the last several months, Skids has started developing Pea Eye, a genetic issue. it doesn't hurt him at all, but it gives him a distinct puppy dog look that is extremely endearing.
hopefully it won't continue to get worse, because if it starts to block his vision...then surgery will be in order. and who the hell wants surgery? not that little piggy, I can promise you that.
pee. esss. how freaking CUTE is that little piggy butt? makes me just want to pinch it...believe it or not, pigs don't have any fat back there to pinch. everywhere else? oh, yeah. but they have skinny butts. there...now you have your random fact for the day. yur welcome.
these are my golden tomatoes that I started in my AeroGarden and then transplanted outside when the weather turned Springish. aren't they beautiful? almost ready, too. unfortunately, I don't know how they turned out because a damn squirrel helped himself the day after I took this picture.
typically we don't eat dinner until much later than most...I won't say how late, because you people already think I'm nuts, and I don't need any more eye rolls.
but this photo? wahl, now. this photo is a testimate to my OCD tendancies.
I was trying a new recipe and was obsessing over getting it right...so two hours before my planned cooking time, I got everything nice and neat and ready to go. and then re-read the recipe 12 times, and double checked my stuff, and made sure that everything was READY TO GO. did I mention the two hours before I planned on cooking? and then? I felt better. much, much better. KIND OF. because you never know. I might have forgot/missed something.
you're totally rolling your eyes now, aren't you? DAMNIT!
it's been oh....about 5 years since I had professional color on my hair...I finally bit the bullet and spent the money I couldn't afford to spend and I LOVE IT.
