I'm a thirty(ish) web designer living in the midwestern United States, better known as "the bible belt".

most people call me Liz. a few call me Lizzard, and to a couple I'm known as "that psycho bitch"....I'll answer to all. inexplicably, my family calls me Lisa. (I suspect it's to drive me crazy trying to explain to the rest of the world WHY). if you're smart, YOU won't. Psyco Bitch will work just fine if your tongue tangles over Liz.

I live with my fabulous boyfriend, Doug, two guinea pigs and a cat. Doug and I have been together since 2002 (you do the math), and NO, we have no plans to get married, nor to have kids (unless you count the fuzzies) and YES. we are extremely happy with the way things are. thanks for asking.

I also have quite a few amazing friends that are willing to hang out with me and put up with my stubborn anxiety. I think they're crazier than I am, but I'll never try to talk them out of it. if you're interested, you can visit a couple of them here and here.

my parents (and most of my siblings) are Mormon. I was too, until I reached the age of reason. I had an epithany and realized I don't need the fear of damnation to understand I shouldn't kill my neighbor for kicking my cat...my own intelligence tells me so. (yes, I understand that if I'm wrong, I'm going to hell...I'm comfortable with that.) my mother is understandably upset, but we've come to an agreement. she doesn't ask me why I left the church, and I don't tell her.

my family all started out in the Midwest, but has since spread a bit...I have two brothers left here, a sister in California, and a sister in Utah. I also have more adorable nieces and nephews than I can count with just my fingers...did I mention my family is Mormon? my parents are currently nomads, so they live everywhere. they are good people, and if there are any qualities about myself I can brag about, it is thanks to them.

I have been on the web, in one form or another, since 2001. this is my fourth(?) domain. my last website got too big and I stopped updating, so I thought I'd start over and cut down a little. maybe I'll actually update more than once a month.

the idea for this domain came from my friend at work, who decided to start calling me Lizzie Lou just for shits and giggles. at first I detested the nickname, but after a while, it grew on me...obviously. LOL

I spend most of my spare time drinking beer, designing and coding web pages, and enjoying my little "family". I'm also slightly addicted to Rock Band (enough so that I went out and bought a REAL guitar, damnit), but I hope to recover soon.
