Beef Stew
The Recipe

you will need:
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
pepper (to taste)
garlic powder (to taste)
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1lb beef stew meat
1 small onion (chopped)
2 large red potatoes (peeled and cubed)
2 cups baby carrots
4 cups beef broth (reserve 4 tablespoons)
4 tablespoons cornstarch

preparation:
in large pot heat oil
season beef with garlic and pepper
fry in oil until browned on all sides
stir in broth, rosemary, parsley, and onions

cook:
cover and simmer on low for 45 minutes
add potatoes and carrots
cover and simmer on low for 15 minutes
mix together 4 tablespoons cornstarch and 4 tablespoons reserved beef broth
pour into stew and stir
simmer until the gravy has thickened

serve:
with a side of cornbread for dipping

hmmm....beef stew. its so beefy and stewy. this is actually a combination of recipes that I put together. and when it starts simmering and that smell of rosemary hits the air...if ya didn't start off hungry, your tummy will soon change it's mind. fabulous!

p.s. don't cut the potatoes too small, and don't add them too soon, or they will disintegrate. tis why you don't see any potato chunks in zee photo.
